Mount Kato Ski Area - Minnesota
Mount Kato Ski Area is located in the scenic Minnesota River Valley.
With 19 trails on 55 skiable acres and eight chairlifts (five quad and three double), Mount Kato offers the Midwestern skier a short lift line and a good choice of beginner and intermediate runs.
There is a two-level chalet, cafeteria, rental shop, ski shop and certified ski school on the premises.
Adult beginners may want to take advantage of a free lesson, available when renting a full set of equipment. You must be 13 years or older.
Mount Kato also has private, group and other special learn-to-ski programs taught by PSIA-certified instructors.
Kato Kids is a special program for ages 4 to 12. Children are grouped by their age and ability level.
Lodging accommodations are available within five miles of the ski area.
